The Route

The historic vehicles start leaving the Bay from 8.30 am and make their way up to the Adelaide Hills, finishing at the National Motor Museum in Birdwood.

The route for the 2018 Run on Sunday 30 September has not been fully determined as yet, however, it will not be much different to the 2017 Classic route, which is detailed below. Once the route for the 2018 Run has been settled we will update the details.

Route details:

• Start – Barratt Reserve
• Right Turn onto West Beach Road – two right turn lanes
• Right Turn onto Tapleys Hill Road (A15) – traffic lights – two right turn lanes
• Left Turn onto Anzac Highway (A5)
• Continue on to West Terrace (A21), merge right once on West Terrace
• Right Turn onto Grote Street – two right turn lanes
• Proceed straight through Victoria Square – use two lanes through the City (some participants may stop for media engagements in Victoria Square)
• Continue on to Wakefield Road
• Right at Dequetteville Terrace roundabout (A21)
• Left onto Fullarton Road at roundabout
• Right onto Payneham Road (A11)
• Left onto Lower North East Road (A11)
• Right at Grand Junction Road/Lower NE Road single lane roundabout – stay on (A11)
• Road closed to event participants only – one-way traffic to Houghton –participants use both lanes, keeping left to facilitate overtaking
• Right onto North East Road (B10) / becomes Torrens Valley Road
• Arriving at Birdwood, Left at Warren Road (B34)
• Right onto Church Street, Birdwood. (return to Adelaide participants exit as signposted from Church St)
• Finish – National Motor Museum grounds entered from back gate from Church Street
